Initial Engagement
If you are seeking support from a Paediatric Occupational Therapist or require Sensory Integration Therapy for your child, the first step is to connect with us. This allows us to conduct a thorough evaluation to better understand your child’s unique needs. We will initiate contact through email, phone, or both to begin this process.
All children beginning therapy at our clinic must have a current OT assessment that meets our standards. Typically, following one of our assessments, we will recommend a specific number of Occupational Therapy sessions. In some cases, if you already have a standard-compliant and up-to-date OT assessment, you may be able to skip our assessment and proceed directly to therapy.

We offer a range of assessment tools, including Sensory Integration instruments and observational methods, each carefully tailored to meet your child’s unique needs. Our assessment services include:
Additionally, we will offer a sensory profile for your child’s teacher or school SENCo to fill out. To ensure a comprehensive understanding, we encourage you to bring any relevant reports or letters related to your child’s diagnosis and challenges. This information, combined with the completed questionnaires and sensory profiles, will help us deliver a thorough evaluation.
Therapy
At Kids in Sync South West we practice both regular Occupational Therapy, and where clinically determined, we also incorporate Sensory Integration as a technique into our Occupational therapy sessions.
Post assessment a determination regarding therapy will be made and what therapy in specific should look like.
Where do sessions take place?
All sessions take place in our specialized Sensory Integration clinics, lasting approximately one hour. These sessions are led by our skilled Paediatric Occupational and Sensory Therapists. With consistent therapy, noticeable progress is often achieved.
